MRT-visible mesh implants

Co-operation between physicians and scientists from university hospitals, university research institutes and our laboratory has led to the development of a suture that can be visualised on MRI and incorporated into implants.

These MRT-visible implants offer many advantages: 

  • The position of the implant can be seen
  • Better planning of subsequent or revision surgery (oncological or diagnostic) is possible
  • Distance of the implant from bone, nerves, vessels and other structures can be demonstrated
  • Help in managing complications

MR safety

Our textile implants with the additional designation MR can be seen on MRI, but do not cause any significant artefacts or magnetically induced heating or displacements in standard clinical imaging up to 3 Tesla.
