Product description
LAVANID® - Wound Gel
LAVANID® – Wound Gel is a sterile hydrogel based on Ringer’s solution and 0.04% polyhexanide as preservative. Polyhexanide prevents the growth of microorganisms in wound dressings and in the gel. The hydrogel exhibits good flow properties, for example when applied in wound cavities or pockets.
LAVANID® - Wound Gel V+
LAVANID® – Wound Gel V+ is a sterile hydrogel based on Ringer’s solution and 0.04% polyhexanide as preservative. Polyhexanide prevents the growth of microorganisms in wound dressings and in the gel.
Product-related pain is not expected during application. Both hydrogels have a high water content (approximately 90%) and support autolytic debridement.
A clinical study on soft tissue wounds showed that the wound gel was well tolerated, and that no local irritation or pain is to be expected.
Application of LAVANID® - Wound Gel / LAVANID® - Wound Gel V+
