LAVANID^®

LAVANID^® is a sterile, isotonic wound irrigation solution based on Ringer’s solution with 0.04% polyhexanide as preservative. Polyhexanide prevents the growth of microorganisms in wound dressings and in the solution.

The isotonic solution prevents swelling of the skin and reduces an irritation. Wound management products preserved with polyhexanide, such as LAVANID^®, are the treatment of choice for poorly healing chronic wounds and sensitive wounds, including e.g. burns.

LAVANID^® – Wound Irrigation Solution: The stopper allows aseptic removal of the irrigation solution, e.g. with a spike. Alternatively, the screw cap can be removed to pour out the solution.

Ringer’s solution (isotonic electrolyte solution consisting of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, and water for injection purposes), polyhexanide 0.04%.

2 months after initial opening

Anticipated risks associated with the intended use of the products are specified in the instructions for use.

Pouring out the solution with screw top.

Remove the aluminium foil and disinfect the spike insertion area.

Insert the spike*.
